Create – A – Chili Mixture

4 lb lean ground beef

3 cups water

3 cups chopped onion

4 cloves garlic minced

1 12 oz can tomato paste

3 tblsp chili powder

1 tblsp cumin

1 tblsp salt

1 tsp pepper

In a large skillet brown ground beef and onion; cooked covered for 30 – 35 minutes on medium heat stirring frequently.  Drain.  Add remaining ingredients, mix well, cook covered over medium/low heat for 30 minutes.  Cool completely.   Refrigerate; if using fresh hamburger this mixture can be frozen for up to four months. 

Can be combined with 1 can of store bought chili and served over scones
